I picked up a set of dice so that I could play counting games with my kids. Multi-colour so there are a lot of games we can play. They are a just a dollar-store set but I put them through the washer and dryer and ended up with a nice set of tumbled dice.

I do drawings for my kids. They ask me to draw stuff like 'an angry dinosaur' or 'an airplane', just random stuff. And I draw them. The lesson for today is: draw some stuff for a child; the wonder of just making an image of something is amazing. More scribbles done with Crayola washable markers and a pen at the read more.

I really like the way our planet rolls around our local star.

Some things just stick with you from childhood. I remember seeing this sketch when I was eight years old. It's as funny now as it was then.
