When I was a boy I had a row of cedar trees to play in.

So it was of particular distress that of eight little cedar trees in my care I'd lost six with only two left.

The lesson here is Don't Panic. Um... I'm pretty sure I read that on the cover of a book once.

So, last nights' storm knocked over six of eight trees into the flowerbed/ivy where they couldn't be seen.

If they whack over again I'm gonna stake 'em down. Just 5mm stakes. Not like three-ring-circus stakes but probably the twigs I've wicked out of the gardens. Enough to keep them upright but won't hurt their roots.

But, pick up the poor little fellas and they are alright. Through a thunderstorm, kicked by the wind and ached in too-small pots and they seem to be alright.

Poor little fellas.
