International Cooperative Education (ICE)

International Cooperative Education (ICE) will provide you the student with a unique opportunity to live with a host family and to work at one or two Co-op placements in Ecuador. ICE integrates academic study, community service and cross-cultural living. Students earn 4 Co-op Education and Language credits as they experience this program. The program involves 6 weeks in the classroom and 14 weeks overseas in their Ecuador placement.

Co-op placements could include:

  • Education: English Language teachers in elementary schools
  • Social Work
  • Ecology
  • Archaeology
  • Community Health Centre
  • Gender Issues, and
  • Tribal Projects
